For over 17 years, our founder Romana Lai has been the makeup artist for celebrities and models in the fashion, entertainment, and bridal industry. Romana left Taiwan, her home country, at the young age of 20 to study hair and makeup in Japan and started working right after completing her studies in Japan. She started traveling to different countries for her work purposes which eventually led her to New York. She decided to stay and continue to further her work in New York. 

A few years later “Romana Makeup New York” was born. Since then the Romana team has garnered experience in advertising and fashion shows, most notably New York Fashion Week. Our work has also appeared in countless fashion publications in the U.S. as well as globally.

Romana’s hand-picked team of New York makeup professionals has and will exceed, the highest of expectations.
